Jake was awarded the Territory’s 2021 Agency Development Manager (ADM) of the Year, ADM Broker MVP, a seat at the Territory’s Leadership Conferences, Colonial Life’s National Leadership Conference and National Broker Round Table.
Jake is licensed and serves customers in CA, ID, MT, OR, NV, TX, and WA.
Jake attributes his successes to the process of understanding the needs and wants of the people he leads and serves. This allows him to customize solutions to best achieve their goals and assist people in realizing their full potentials.
Jake graduated from the University of Utah’s School of Middle East Area Studies with an emphasis in cultural and physical anthropology.
He volunteered as a District and Area Representative, Trustee, and Chair of the Board of Trustees in various non-profit organizations and coached youth club soccer the last 15 years.
Jake is married and the father of four children and two dogs.

Ryan is Colonial’s 2022 Q1 Incentive Winner, was awarded the 2021 “Heart and Hustle” Spotlight, earned the Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, and Ruby, Premium Pacesetter Awards, and won the 2020 Top Producer Award for new business.
Ryan is licensed in WA, ID, OR, and MT.
When it comes to working with people, Ryan is about service. This means making sure his clients feel truly valued and supported when they need it most.
Ryan is passionate in what he does, whether it’s with family, work, or on the soccer field. He played soccer for 20+ years, and has seamlessly transferred the dedication, consistency, and team skills he learned into an outstanding work ethic.
This family man has been married for 13 years, is proud of his two wonderful children, and has two crazy dogs. His son is well on his way to becoming just like his dad—an excellent defender on the soccer field! His daughter has overcome great challenges being born with special needs and continues to shine with the sweetest of spirits.
Ryan grew up in Cheney and has lived in the Spokane area most of his life.
Kari Hanson
Agency Sales Representative
Kari has a proven record of success managing teams beginning with her early days as an agent to managing youth sports teams, and her tenure as a postal worker. Her follow-through and passion to help others is the basis of her success.
Kari graduated from Eastern Washington University with a focus on Business and Education. She also graduated from ITT Technical Institute as valedictorian of her class.
Kari placed first in her weight class in a regional deadlift competition. She also enjoys participating in many competitive events, including Spartan races, long-distance running events, and 50k ultramarathons.
In her free time, Kari enjoys working out, reading, golfing, hiking, and spending time with her two teenage boys.
